sweet Texas friends!

Today I got a sweet package all the way from my girly friends in Texas! So FUN! My friend Vicki wrote..."Just wanted to do something special for you." Wow! I needed it today too...Such a nice pick me up!

So, the gift was a sweet tote made by my other friend Martha at allthingscute.etsy.com! I LOVE this tote made from Vintage fabrics and trims! Isn't that sweet?

summer begins

  Thanks to everyone for being so sweet after my last "blues" post. I did cry on my son's last day of Pre-K.   :0(  He was a bit sad too. But, we are all fine now, enjoying the VERY HOT California weather!

Oh, and also, we had some of the Youth Group over on Sunday evening, so I (and the fam.) cleaned the ENTIRE house...which puts me in a much better mood!

I took some photos of my desk after I cleaned off the top... This old soda bottle box used to be almost empty...now it's FULL of fun goodies!!

I found this sweet little brown bird in San Luis Obisbo over Spring Break...so cute!

Well, time to run...I'm working on a bunch of things at once and need to concentrate...hard to do when there are so many sweet blogs to read and pictures to admire!

Shabby Chic Cookies

10 years ago, in 1997 Jeff and I led a team of 18-24 year olds to Mexico on a mission trip.  One of our favorite Mexican treats were these little cookies with marshmallow fuffies on top. We called them "Sponch".

My kids found them in Winco the other day,  so we made a dessert out of it. My kids 8,7 and4 could not figure out why we called them "Sponch" because the new name is something I cannot pronounce. But they taste medium and look even better.

Okay, I just found a picture of them, they are called "Arcoiris"...how to pronounce? I have no idea and I am half Mexican. Sad.
