One of the highlights of my recent trip to Georgia was a total surprise!! Miss Jenn told us Flower Fairies that she had a few surprises for us throughout the weekend, but this was so exciting me for personally....

On Saturday, as we made our way out to the tent I spied a few extra faces in the crowd...
hmmmmm, who could that be??

Soon, I discovered it was no other than the incredible talented Miss KRIS HURST! YES!
She made these amazing banners for the tent...

I was so excited to meet her in person, as she is one of my FAVORITE artists and is SUCH an inspiration to me personally. She is adorable, humble and completely sweet and giving! She and her friend Marilyn made their way to the event for the day and headed out early to get in some extra shopping.
I was so bummed to find out that they had left, and I didn't get a photo with her... :0(

Happily, on Sunday, a few of us girls stayed an extra day so we decided to go check out the local antique mall. Miss Sherry was our awesome tour guide and took us all around!

En Le Jardin Part 2

Welcome back! I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! I temporarily closed my shop to get organized and restock some items, so I am really enjoying the time off.... lots of naps and bike rides with the kids.

I wanted to share the rest of my time at the En Le Jardin art retreat I recently attended! I've got sooooo much going on at the moment, so I'm going to show you mostly photos, not much talking today! Hope that is okay! ;0)

On Saturday, Jenn treated everyone to a beautiful outdoor high tea at noon.... these are some shots of her magnificent dining room... she went over the top!

We made our way to Jenn's garden, where she had an amazing tent set up with gorgeous tables, place settings and gifts!

Jenn also set up a pretty outdoor lounge area for pretty photos.

Thank goodness we were under a tent! By the time we were well into making our art projects, we had a total downpour of rain!! Not to worry, rain will not stop our fun!!

En Le Jardin Part 1

I'm back! I arrived home on Monday from one of the most amazing weekends EVER! No kidding! I don't know where to start, so I guess start at the beginning! ha!

***This post is gonna be long, so you might need a minute for all the photos to load! :0)

Last weekend, I was privileged to attend the En Le Jardin Alfresco Art Event hosted by the beautiful Miss Jenn Hayslip at her home in Georgia.

On Friday, we had a shopping day in Savannah! Here are all the girls on the front steps of Jenn's home...

We had a 2 hour drive to Savannah, so you can imagine all the silliness with all these ladies in the limo.

We headed straight to The Olde Pink House restaurant for some traditional southern cuisine!

 

Next, we toured the town and visited some of the great shops, I know you can all appreciate that!
We stopped at Paris Market...

and @Home Vintage General

Here we are with the owner Liz! She was so sweet! She had mimosas and small hors devours waiting at the counter for us!

Then we walked thru the streets admired the architecture and visited Forsyth Park....

Finally, we ended the day by visiting the Back in the Day Bakery. THE BEST CUPCAKES, so sweet!! The owner Cheryl Day, was such a hostess! Her shop is like a dream, with yummy treats, coffees, and fun cupcake decorations! All with a shabby/vintage twist!

 

After a super fun day, we were ready to head home... let's just say things got a little crazy in the limo....

Ahhhhh, that was fun!!

Happy Mother's Day

This is my mom, me and my kids at Disneyland. Wishing her a very happy Mother's Day today!! Love you mom!! :0)

Just to catch up, we took the kids to Disneyland! So fun!! We always try to take the trip around my birthday, it's a fun way to celebrate... by screaming my head off on the roller coasters! A few fun highlights from the trip...

We had an awesome few days and by the end I thought my legs would fall off! Gosh I was SO SORE! ha ha ha You know that walk you get when you are tired at the end of the day at Disneyland, the Disneyland walk? The, if this is "the happiest place on earth"... why am I the tiredest person in the world walk?.... ya, had that walk for 3 days afterward! lol

More fun news!!  I am leaving this week for a magical few days with some of my very favorite people!!!!

What an awesome group of ladies! I can't wait to sit and share the weekend again with these girls, most who I had the privilege of meeting last fall at Silver Bella. I can't wait! I'll be sure to share as many photos of the event as I possibly can!! :0)

On a personal note, I am in the process of rescheduling my website opening. We've had some serious trials in the last few weeks, including my husband losing his job. This, of course, is going to affect me and what happens to Sugar*Sugar.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the future holds for me! I am really praying about what to do with Sugar*Sugar... right now I can only see a few options. Wow, now I'm getting emotional even writing this!!

*whew*

I will either need to really push Sugar*Sugar to a whole new level, to keep it going (what I want!) or I may need to slowly dissolve the shop entirely, if I need to find other work (what I don't want, but may need to do). :0(

We haven't made any decisions yet, and my greatest desire is to have the opportunity to push forward, thru the hard stuff and continue doing what I love. I will keep you all updated on any new details, if i have any, either way!
