This week was crazy busy and I am STILL sick! I hardly ever get sick, so I think I was making up for lost time. I'm starting to feel better, so don't fret! (not, like you were or anything...)
This week was the deadline for art submissions to the Somerset Life magazine. I wanted to send some art pieces to Jenny Doh for the next publication. Regrettably, I haven't sent much her way for the last few months because I just had so much going on that I never really had time to just sit down and think about the some of the calls for art.
Anyway, this time, I was feeling inspired by a few of the project ideas she sent for some of the upcoming issues.
I felt really good about the projects I made. I love that feeling when something just "flows" out of you, it's totally not about if they make it to publication or not. It's more about what is behind the projects, the thought and convictions from which they are made... that is what art is.... conveying to the viewer some truth that comes from inside of you.
I love this quote from M.C. Escher
"At moments of great enthusiasm it seems to
me that no one in the world has ever made
something this beautiful and important."
I felt really moved by the prompts and thought I would show you 2 of the projects that I made this time around. :0)

Hey Analise! I love love love the button flowers you did on the bag! I always knew you were talented! I remember back at SHS when you were sewing buttons on a shirt in Langille's class for an X-mas present, I think about that a lot when I'm feeling the need to be crafty!
