Shop Update

I realized I haven't shown my bloggy friends some of the new items in my shop! Things have been so crazy lately! I have listed some new goodies in the shop and I have a lot in the works!!

Let's see... I had some sweet and shabby egg crates...

I also had an order for another cupcake tin...

filled with all kinds of little fun embellishments!!

I love making these! They are so fun to put together!! :0)

Also, I made 4 new vintage pillowcase totes...totally cute!

The pink and yellow tote reminds me of Pink Lemonade!

I threw together some destash packs...

I also had 2 more jewelry boxes of goodies! These are soo fun!!

My mom found these cute little bakery boxes that hold and display 4 cupcakes...they are darling, with a clear window on top to view your goodies...so I filled them with pretty vintage treasures! I *LOVE* these kits, so pretty!!

Okay, okay...this is getting really long...but one more thing to show you...

I had a sweet customer order a magazine file...very retro, very cool, using a vintage pattern girl. I was really happy with the way it came out! I'm gonna make one for myself... in PINK, of course!

I have a lot of stuff I will be listing in my shop soon due to the move...I need clean it all out! So check the shop for more goodies!!

Moving On

Here's me. In a hat... so many hat days lately...this pic is a few months old, but that's me...thinking.

I've been so busy lately! So much seems to be happening all at once in my life, so many changes.

Good News!!

Jeff and I have finally found a house! The house is smaller, one less bedroom, but it seems quite perfect! It is right next to a little park with a play structure, swings, picnic tables and pretty shaded trees. So nice! The house even has PINK ROSE BUSHES!!

I'll post pics as soon as I can. I am still trying to decide about where to put the Sugar*Sugar shop...either I take over the dining room or I set up the garage...which is do-able, just might be a bit hot! I would have to invest in a small A/C unit for the window.

I'm going to have to sell some furniture... Right now we live in 2400 square feet! Huge, I know! But, all along, I have said, "We really don't need a house this big...I can never keep it clean!"

Now, don't get me wrong, I will miss my loft, where Sugar*Sugar began, and my shabby chic living room! :0(

I am slowly talking my husband into letting "shabby" take over the family room...right now we have my living room...mostly white and shabby colors, and the family room...dark colors...dark woods...browns, blacks, greens and a bit of pink (for mama). More dirt friendly.

My kids are getting better, the older they get, about keeping things clean and tidy. So, I'm not too nervous about having a pastel living space...they are mostly used to me telling them "get your feet off the couch!" anyway...

Here's a few pics of my shabby room... they're not the best photos, but they are the only one's I have! Now it's all in boxes!

So, we move at the end of the month! I have so much to do, it's not even funny. I have stuff to clean, sell, and throw away! Ughhh! Thank God for Craigslist!!  But, it does feel kinda good to get things in order and sift thru stuff that I need to let go of...

it's always good to start over.

Thrifty Friday

My BFF Aly and I met this morning for coffee and a muffin. So nice.

Our town, Clovis, has an "Old Town" with beautiful antiques, shops and local eateries...including a very pretty Victorian Tea Room. If you ever get the chance to go, order the coffee (French Press with Creme) and creme brulee! Ahhh, soo delicious!

Old Town also has the BEST fabric store ever called Quilters Paradise. A must stop shop for crafty lovers! They have sooo many gorgeous fabrics, I was drooling!

After that, I ran some errands, shipped some packages and later was told about a thrift shop I had never been to... amazing, I know.

The fact that I didn't know about a thrift shop in my town is a small miracle.

One gal said, "Don't tell her about it, all the good stuff will get taken!"

So true.

so lucky

This week has been a difficult one. On the 1st of July we were told by our landlord that we need to move out of our house...he's having financial trouble and needs the house we are living in. Soooo, we have just days to find a home and to move....legally we have like 60 days, but school will start again on August 20th and we would like to be settled for the kids.

So, Jeff and I have been frantically searching for a big enough house for our family (and the Sugar*Sugar shop!) and our two kitties, Muffy Crosswire and Tootie Pa-toot Toot.

I've really been trying to be positive about it, but honestly, it's not easy. We just moved to CA last summer from Texas and just started to feel settled in our house... the kids are sad too b/c we will probably have to change schools as well. :0(

Hmmmph. Dang. Well, on with other news before I bum everyone out!

I did have a happy, so happy surprise in the mail that really lifted my spirits...my bits and pieces collage from Jenny!
