I've debated forever about putting music on my blog...
*sigh* I'm not sure I'm completely sold on the idea.
What do you think?
If you are like me, I have a hard time concentrating sometimes when there is too much going on, but then, on the other hand, sometimes, I have left some blogs open all day just to hear their play lists!! ;0)
Btw, if you don't prefer my selections, just click on the pause button and it'll stop for ya! :0)
I have had this post in the works for more than a week and have found a few moments today to write this, which can sometimes take me a while, depending on the time day... for instance, if it's around 9am, we're all good. Coffee, silence, me in my "uniform" of yoga pants and tshirt and hoodie. Photos and blog done in less than and hour.
However, try me at 4:45pm, annnnd it's a completely different story... kids, homework, snacks, dog running in the street, "Mooooom!", you know the drill...so the other night, I timed it... it took me 3 hours to get these photos uploaded, cropped, resized and edited.
3 hours.
So, finally, here they are!
I wanted to show you the photos of my finished Silver Bella projects. First is the Altered Book/Photo album taught by Pam Garrison...I haven't added any photos yet, but I've decided to add some pictures of my kids and family at Christmastime.
This was, I think, my favorite project to make. I was able to use a ton of different papers, trims and embellishments, with out the feeling the restraints of scrap-booking... he he this book is, well, quite portly, 3.5" thick!
I see a lot of altered books in my future...
I know this a crazy long post... how is the music?
These are the little Christmas houses I made in Jenni Bowlin's class... these were SO FUN!
of course, I asked Jenni to sign mine! hee hee Thanks Jenni!!
Neeext is my Prada Schmada Tote, taught by Charlotte Lyons...this was great to be able to sew and use my favorite fabrics and trims!
By the way, you can find the velvet leaves at One Hundred Wishes and the fabrics at Confections Fabric!!
cute right?
Lastly, is the Portrait Rustique taught by Kim Kwan. Remember I told you I was DEAD TIRED in this class? I almost, allllmost called it quits and decided to finish my project another time, but I stuck it out, munched on some snacks with my mom, Natasha and Karla and finished it! This was my favorite piece to bring home.
It is made with a distressed and painted frame, flocked paper underneath painted chicken wire. I added a small baby clothespin and decided to use it as a note board. Love it!
These AWESOME Vintage millinery flowers are from one of my FAVORITE shops on etsy, My So Called Junky Life, miss Sarah Elder! Go check her out, she always has the best vintage goodies and awesome jewelry!! She is my girl for vintage millinery!!
~~~~~
We have just a few more details to finish up around the house and all of our Christmas decorating will be done. I have a whole long story about that, but you just have to wait!
Happy Holidays friends!!
xo
